About ReelFetch

What this site is

ReelFetch reads a public Instagram Reel or video post and offers the video files that the post actually exposes. It is built for people who want to keep a copy of their own material, or material they have permission to save.

ReelFetch is an independent service. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Instagram or Meta, and it does not use any Instagram or Meta branding, certification badge or logo.

What it deliberately does not do

It does not ask for your Instagram password, an account, a cookie or a browser extension, and it has no way to read content that requires being signed in.

It does not offer photo downloads, Stories, Highlights, live streams, audio-only extraction, ZIP archives or bulk account export in this version.

It does not invent download options. If a post exposes one video quality, one quality is listed.

How the download works

The complete picture: we send one lightweight request to read the public post. Your browser then fetches the file directly from the source content network, so the video data does not travel through our servers. When that direct route is not usable, the file is relayed through our server instead, and the interface tells you which route is in use.

This design keeps the media transfer off our servers wherever possible. It reduces load and cost, and it means the video data is not stored by us.

Limits worth knowing

Publicly viewable does not mean free to use. Whether you may download a given video is a question about rights, not about whether the tool can reach it. You are responsible for what you save.

Some posts simply cannot be read without an account, some are region-restricted, and some expose video without an audio track. We report those cases honestly instead of pretending every link works.
